Compared to last week: best test on yearling steers 850 to 900 lbs steady to 2.00 higher with other weight classes of yearling steers not well compared. Best test on yearling heifers 800 to 900 lbs 3.00 higher, 901 to 1000 lbs steady to 2.00 higher. Calves not well compared to develop an accurate price trend. Good to very good demand for loads of yearlings and calves, moderate to good demand for packages. Mostly strings and loads of yearlings off grass again this week. Like last week, quality varied most on packages, loads and strings mostly average to attractive. A slightly smaller calf offering than last week. The majority of the calves off the cow with at least one round of shots, usually given in the fall. Overall quality on calves less attractive than last week with more plain calves in the offering this week, especially on packages. Flesh varied more on calves this week as well, from light to some moderate plus. An active market with both order buyers and farmer feeders in the seats today. Next feeder cattle sale is Wednesday, October 26.
