First reported feeder cattle sale in three weeks so an accurate price trend can not be developed. Very good demand for all weights of cattle today, cattle coming off grass saw excellent demand. Several strings along with many loads and packages made up today's offering which came both off grass and out of yards. Flesh varied but mostly light to moderate plus and quality average to attractive. An active market with many buyers attending the sale today and many times buying multiple loads to fill pens when offered. Much of the area is getting dry and needs rain. Wheat harvest is well underway and many producers are still making hay. Next feeder cattle sale is Wednesday, August 24.
