Compared to last week: best test on steers 800 to 850 lbs mostly steady, 851 to 900 lbs 2.00 to 3.00 higher. Best test on heifers 650 to 700 lbs mostly steady, 800 to 850 lbs 2.00 to 3.00 higher. Today's large offering was met with good to very good demand, Quite a few packages offered, but the majority of the offering sold in loads and strings. Quality mostly attractive today and flesh varied, from light to moderate plus. An active market with buyers many times taking multiple loads of cattle to fill pens. Today is another very hot day with the area under a heat advisory. Some areas saw a little rainfall last Thursday night, but things still remain hot and very dry. Grass for the summer and finding feed to put up for winter are the worries of almost every producer right now. The next feeder cattle sale is Wednesday, June 23.
