Compared to last week: steers 750 to 800 lbs mostly steady, 850 to 1050 lbs 2.00 to 4.00 lower except 950 to 1000 lbs mostly steady. Best test on heifers 850 to 900 lbs and 950 to 1000 lbs mostly steady. Good to very good demand for another large yearling offering which sold on an active market. Many strings featured today, both steers and heifers, with most of these coming off grass. Many of the packages offered today were home raised tested open heifers. Quality mostly attractive and flesh mostly light to moderate. A good crowd of buyers attending the sale today. Bean harvest is just getting started and some corn is coming off as well. The weather has been warm and dry. Next feeder cattle sale is Wednesday, September 30.
