Heifers 500 to 700 lbs mostly steady except 600 to 650 lbs not well compared. Good demand for today's large offering of many packages and loads including several strings of back grounded heifers. Quite a few loads and packages of calves suitable for grass programs selling with very good demand. Quality similar to last week, mostly average to attractive and most calves in light to moderate plus flesh. Some tag on some of the cattle as the lots thawed quite a bit over the weekend. An active market with buyers and a few farmer feeders in the seats today. Another day of losses on the futures today putting some pressure on the market. Next feeder cattle sale is next Wednesday, February 12.
