Compared to two weeks ago: best test on steers 900 to 999 mostly steady, 1000 to 1049 lbs 3.00 lower. Heifers not well tested two weeks ago for comparison. A large offering of strings and loads, both home raised and back grounded, most of these were big, finishing type cattle. Good to very good demand for cattle today. Flesh varied, but most cattle carried some extra flesh as feeding conditions have been good. One consignment of steers off grass in light to moderate flesh. Quality mostly average to attractive, many similar quality and weight cattle to fill big pens. An active market with buyers determined to procure cattle when offered as sales become less frequent which is normal for this time of year. No sale next week due to the 4th of July, watch local listings for the next feeder cattle sale.
