Compared to last week: steers 850 to 899 lbs steady to 2.00 higher, 900 to 999 lbs mostly steady. Heifers not well compared. Good demand for this large yearling offering featuring mostly strings and loads. Cattle were all off grass, flesh condition mostly light to moderate with some fill seen at times. Quality varied this week, from plain to attractive, on both packages and loads. Some tag as last week was quite wet. An active market with the usual crowd of order buyers in the seats, however, they are more reserved than they have been the last few months. Next feeder cattle sale is Friday, October 3, expecting 3000 head.
