Compared to last week: steers 600 to 699 lbs steady to 3.00 higher, 700 to 799 mostly steady with an instance 10.00 higher on 750 to 799 lbs. Heifers 550 to 699 mostly steady. Good to very good demand for today's offering of quite a few loads and many packages. Quality similar to last week with many attractive cattle on offer, many home raised cattle again this week. Flesh varied, but mostly moderate to moderate plus overall. Cattle were clean and open haired today as lots continue to get a little better. An active market seen for this offering. The area is still experiencing mild weather and forecasts for next week have a few colder days but still very comfortable for the last week of February. Although mud has been an issue, these are still good feeding conditions. Next feeder cattle sale is Friday, March 1.
