Compared to last week: best test on yearling steers 900 to 1000 lbs mostly steady with an instance 5.00 higher on 950 to 1000 lbs, yearling heifers not well compared. Best test on steer calves 500 to 600 lbs mostly steady with other weight classes of steer calves and heifer calves not well compared. Good demand for today's yearling offering, the majority of this was made up of a couple of long strings of steers. More lot and less grass cattle than last week, more flesh overall on yearlings this week, lots of moderate plus flesh condition. Moderate to good demand for calves with best demand seen for a a consignment of reputation black hided calves selling mostly in loads. Lots of packages again this week, quality varied, from plain to attractive. Many colored cattle in the offering today. Different shot records again today with buyers more forgiving of a lack of shots on attractive quality cattle. More flesh overall on calves than last week. An active market seen for the offering. Much of the harvest has been completed. this area remains very dry and dusty with some concerns for dust pneumonia in calves. Next feeder cattle sale is Friday, November 11.
