Compared to last week: best test on steers 800 to850 lbs mostly steady, 900 to 1000 lbs 2.00 to 3.00 lower. Heifers not well compared. Good demand for today's yearling offering consisting mostly of strings and loads off grass, a handful of loads were home raised cattle. Quality more attractive than last week, many attractive quality cattle on offer today. Flesh mostly light to moderate. A few packages offered, mostly tested opens off grass. An active market today with mostly order buyers in the seats. Futures looking dismal so far today with feeder cattle futures over 3.00 lower so far. Producers are busy with harvest in this area and weather remains dry. Next feeder cattle sale is Friday, October 7.
