Too light an offering today to compare to last week and develop an accurate price trend. Today's feature consignment was a string of light, green backgrounded heifers which was met with very good demand. Good demand for the rest of the offering which consisted mostly of packages. Flesh condition mostly light to moderate with some moderate plus. Quality mostly plain to average. An active market with a good crowd of buyers and farmer feeders. Much of the area is receiving rain today with more forecasted for tomorrow. Some areas could receive over 2". Yards and roads are soft and muddy right now and temps remain below normal for this time of year. Next feeder cattle sale is Friday, May 6, and the annual Birthday Sale is in two weeks, Friday May 13.
