Feeder steers 700-750 lbs 10.00 higher, 950-1000 lbs steady to instance of 5.00 higher, over 1000 lbs 2.00 to 4.00 lower. Feeder heifers under 1000 lbs steady to 2.00 higher, instances to 5.00 higher on 700-750 lbs, over 1000 lbs 2.00 to 4.00 lower. Moderate to good demand for this large offering, all dependent upon flesh condition however. In spite of drought conditions there is still good demand for cattle to go to grass. Corn futures 30 cents lower, putting old corn back below 7.00 which is helpful but big cattle are still facing costs of gains higher than the cash fat cattle market which is keeping pressure on the feeders. Many long strings of backgrounded steers and heifers offered in full loads and multiple load lots, there were also some long strings and smaller consignments of very light fleshed steers and heifers that have just been running out, these cattle sold very easily, fewer outlets are found for fleshy heifers.
