Last reported sale three weeks ago so an accurate price trend can not be developed. Moderate to good demand for today's large offering of packages and loads of mostly homeraised cattle. Quality varied today but became very attractive as the sale progressed. Most cattle in moderate to moderate plus flesh with some heavy flesh at times. Some tag on the cattle as can be expected as the lots thaw. Moderate market activity at the start of the auction but becoming more active throughout the sale. Many buyers and some farmer feeders in the seats today. CME futures that started the week with such promise had triple digit losses today. Warm weather and below normal precipitation expected for the next week making for nice calving weather. Next feeder cattle sale is Friday, April 3.
