First reported sale in recent weeks so an accurate trend can not be established. Good demand for today's large run of yearlings which sold in strings and loads including one string of 1700 steers from one family operation. Flesh varied, from light to moderate plus, with cattle coming both off grass and out of feed yards. Varied quality as well, mostly average to attractive. An active market with good buyer attendance today. Conditions around the area remain very green as rain has been plentiful this summer. Most producers are busy making hay with frequent rains making this a little harder than normal and wheat harvest has not yet started due to the late planting dates this spring. Next feeder sale is next Friday, August 16.
