No feeder sale last week, compared to two weeks ago best test on steer calves 400 lbs to 449 lbs were 10.00 to 12.00 higher, steers calves from 450 lbs to 499 lbs were 4.00 to 6.00 lower, steer calves from 500 lbs to 649 lbs were steady to 6.00 higher; heifer calves from 450 lbs to 599 lbs were from 10.00 to 20.00 higher. No other comparisons available. Big run of yearlings consisting of mostly spayed heifers were meet with very good demand. Flesh condition ranged from light flesh condition coming off dry pasture to medium plus coming from a grow yard. A very active market as buyers chase after the few remaining yearlings available. The bulk of todays yearlings were offered in load lots, with multiple loads offered at times, not as many packages as last sale. Todays calf offering was mostly non-weaned calves that were fully preconditioned and coming off the cow. Calves were meet with good demand, making for a fairly active market. A few consignments offered buyers the opportunity to purchase multiple loads. There were lots of part loads and packages available to make full loads. Big crowd in attendance for todays sale, with lots of order buyers and farmer feeders in the seats. Good demand for replacement heifers in today auction as well. Next feeder sale is scheduled for Friday, December 13, 2024.
