Compared to last week: steers from 450 lbs to 499 lbs were steady to 2.00 higher, steers from 500 lbs to 549 lbs were 10.00 to 12.00 higher, steers from 550 lbs to 699 lbs were 2.00 to 4.00 higher, steers from 950 lbs to 999 lbs were 6.00 to 8.00 higher. Heifers from 450 lbs to 549 lbs were 4.00 to 8.00 higher. No other comparisons were available. An active market with very good demand for all classes of cattle today. Big crowd of order buyers, farmer feeders, and internet buyers today. Several strings of yearlings were offered in multiple load lots with plenty of part loads and packages available as well. Most of the yearlings were light to moderate for flesh as they were coming of day pasture conditions. Calves were attractive for quality, most had two rounds of vaccinations and were right off the cow. It seemed like the buyer attitude today was to purchase some cattle at whatever cost. Next feeder sale is scheduled for Friday, November 15, 2024.
