Compared to last Friday: Steers from 550 lbs to 599 lbs were 5.00 to 8.00 lower, steers from 600 lbs to 699 lbs were steady, 700 lbs to 749 lbs were 6.00 to 8.00 lower, steers from 750 lbs to 849 lbs were steady to 2.00 lower. Heifers from 500 lbs to 649 lbs were mostly 2.00 to 6.00 lower. No other comparisons available. A fairly active market with very good demand for the greener hay fed cattle. Flesh conditions ranged from light fleshed hay fed cattle to moderate plus backgrounded cattle. More part loads and packages today when compared to last weeks sale. Mostly order buyers in the seats with some internet bidders purchasing cattle. A few weather related cancellations shortened up todays numbers. Next feeder sale will be Friday, January 27, 2023.
