No sale last week. Comparisons made to two weeks ago: Steers from 550 lbs to 699 lbs were generally 10.00 to 15.00 higher; steers from 700 lbs to 800 lbs were 4.00 to 8.00 higher, heifers from 500 lbs to 549 lbs were 2.00 to 3.00 lower, heifers from 600 lbs to 699 lbs were 2.00 to 4.00 higher, heifers from 700 lbs to 749 lbs were 6.00 to 9.00 higher, no other comparisons were available. Good to very good demand for all class of cattle for todays sale. Many opportunities to buy multiple loads of the same sort of one owners cattle in todays offering., with lots of part loads and packages available as well. Flesh ranged from light fleshed hay fed calves to moderate plus cattle coming out of grow yards. Continued dry weather in the area has kept most of the cattle clean, open haired and attractive in condition. An active to very active market for todays offering as order buyers and internet buyers were eager to purchase cattle. A nice selection of replacement heifers were met with very good demand as several buyers were aggressively bidding to own some nice replacement heifers. The cash live cattle market and futures markets have cattle feeders optimistic about better times ahead. Next feeder sale will be Friday, February 18th. Eat beef so you can stay healthy and safe.
