Compared to last week: feeder steers from 550 lbs to 799 lbs were generally 1.00 to 3.00 higher, 800 lbs to 849 lbs were 1.00 to 2.00 lower; feeder heifers from 450 lbs to 649 lbs were 4.00 to 6.00 lower, 650 lbs to 699 lbs were 3.00 to 5.00 higher, the 700 lbs to 749 lbs heifers were 3.00 to 5.00 lower. Good to very good demand for this large offering of high quality steers and heifers. Several long strings of reputation cattle today offered buyers the opportunity to put multiple loads of one owner cattle together, lots of part loads and packages available as well. Wide variation in quality and flesh conditions in today's sale. Best demand for the light fleshed hay fed cattle suited for summer grazing programs. Good demand for the heavier fleshed background cattle, ready to go to a finishing pen. Active market today with lots of order buyers trying to get orders filled, a few farmer feeders along with internet bidders made for plenty of buyer interest for today's sale. Next feeder sale will be Friday, March 5th, expecting a large fun of high quality feeder cattle. Stay safe.
