Compared to last week: Steers from 900 lbs to 999 lbs were steady, heifers weighing from 750 lbs to 849 lbs were steady to 3.00 higher in places, heifers from 950 lbs to 999 lbs were 2.00 to 4.00 higher. No other comparisons were made due to the limited numbers in their weight categories. Most of the cattle were coming off dry pasture conditions and were in light fleshed to moderate fleshed conditions. The market was fairly active today on the internet and in the seats. Buyers had more interest in the yearlings than the calves. Most of the calves were right off the cow and had had their preconditioning shots. The next feeder sale will be a special black hided calf sale on Wednesday, October 14, 2020.
