Compared to last week: Steers from 600 lbs to 649 lbs and 700 lbs to 749 lbs were 15.00 to 20.00 lower, steers from 750 lbs to 799 lbs were 2.00 to 4.00 lower, steers from 800 lbs to 849 lbs were 4.00 to 6.00 higher, steers from 850 lbs to 899 lbs were 6.00 to 8.00 lower, heifers from 650 lbs to 749 lbs were 15.00 to 20.00 lower, heifers from 750 lbs to 799 lbs were 3.00 to 4.00 lower, no other comparisons available. Another big run of cattle for todays auction with a house full of people. Good to moderate demand for todays offering that consisted of mostly home raised cattle that ranged from light fleshed hay fed cattle to moderate plus coming out of a grow yard. Plenty of loads, some multiple loads in the same sort along with part loads and packages for todays sale. Internet buyers were competing with order buyers and a few farmer feeder for cattle. A fairly active market, but buyers continue to remain cautious with market uncertainties looming overhead. A lower futures market, higher energy prices, a war going on in the Middle East and weather uncertainties in the next few days all contributed to an overall softer market. Next feeder sale is scheduled to be in two weeks, March 27, 2026.
