Compared to last Wednesday: the 450 lbs to 499 lbs steers were 2.00 to 3.00 higher, the 550 lbs to 599 lbs steers were 3.00 to 5.00 higher, comparisons on heifer calves, 400 lbs to 449 lbs were steady while the 500 lbs to 549 lbs heifers were 3.00 to 5.00 higher, no other comparisons available. Active market and good demand for today's offering of fully preconditioned calves right off the cow. Calves were in light flesh condition and have greened up after last weekends winter storm that dumped a foot or more of snow in the area. Several weather related cancellations as producers had trouble getting cattle to market. The next feeder sale is Friday, October 30th. November 4th will be the last Wednesday sale.
