Compared to last Wednesday's sale, best comparison on the 500 lbs to 650 lbs steers would be steady to 3.00 higher, the 450 lbs to 500 lbs heifers would be 4.00 with instances of 8.00 lower while the 500 lbs to 550 lbs heifers were steady to 2.00 higher. Very active market with good demand for today's offering of high quality fully preconditioned calves. Flesh condition range from light to moderate as all the calves today were fresh off the cow. Weather conditions are starting to improve in the area as most country roads are either drying up or freezing up, allowing for transportation of cattle to market. Several consignments of loads or multiple loads of one owner cattle along with plenty of part loads and packages in today's offering. Next feeder sale will be Friday, November 1st, expecting 8,500 to 9,000 head of high quality calves and yearlings.
