Correction: 215lb slaughter cow deleted

Compared to last week: Slaughter Steers sold steady compared to a light test last week, with good demand for higher quality cattle. Dairy Steers were too lightly tested last week to develop an accurate market trend, however firm undertones were noted. Slaughter heifers were too lightly tested last week to develop an accurate market trend, but they traded weak on limited comparable sales. No comparison is available for Dairy Heifers. Breaking slaughter cows sold steady with a weak undertone, with boning and lean cows selling steady to 5.00 lower. No comparison for Slaughter Bulls, but they sold weak on limited comparable sales. Demand overall was moderate, with moderate offerings and buyer attendance. Feeder Dairy Bull calves sold 10.00-20.00 lower. Feeder Dairy Heifer calves sold weak in a very narrow comparison. Buyer attendance was moderate for the feeder dairy calf sale. Offerings included 171 slaughter steers, 69 slaughter heifers, 371 slaughter cows, 22 slaughter bulls, 5 miscellaneous cattle, and 522 calves.
