Compared to last week, traditional slaughter steers sold 1.00-2.00 higher on a light test. Demand good. Non-traditional slaughter steers sold steady to 1.00 higher on a light test. Demand moderate. Holstein slaughter steers sold steady on a light test. Slaughter heifers sold steady to 1.00 lower on a light test. Slaughter cows sold steady to 1.00 higher with the movement in Lean cows. Slaughter bulls sold steady to 1.00 lower on a light test. Graded Holstein bull calves traded mostly steady to 20.00 higher with the exception of Number 3 calves weighing less than 90 lbs and Utility calves selling steady to 20.00 lower. Holstein heifer calves traded mostly steady to 5.00 lower on another light test. Ag Market News LLC under the USDAQSA-LMAR program graded 316 head for Thursday's sale. Offerings included 153 slaughter steers, 62 slaughter heifers, 385 slaughter cows, 22 slaughter bulls, 45 miscellaneous cattle, and 466 calves.
