Compared to last week, slaughter steers sold 1.00-2.00 higher on good demand. Non-traditional slaughter steers sold 1.00-2.00 higher on good demand. Holstein slaughter steers sold 1.00-2.00 higher on a very light test. Slaughter heifers firm on another very light test. Slaughter cows sold 1.00-2.00 lower on moderate demand. Slaughter bulls mostly steady compared to a light test. Graded Holstein bull calves weighing over 100 lbs traded mostly steady to 10.00 higher while those weighing less than 100 lbs traded steady to 20.00 lower. Holstein heifer calves traded mostly steady to 5.00 higher on another light test. Ag Market News LLC under the USDA-QSA-LMAR program graded 373 head for Thursday's sale. Offerings included 159 slaughter steers, 27 slaughter heifers, 350 slaughter cows, 33 slaughter bulls, 23 miscellaneous cattle, and 536 calves.
