Compared to last week, Slaughter steers sold 1.00-2.00 higher on good demand. Non-traditional slaughter steers sold steady to 1.00 higher on moderate demand. Holstein slaughter steers sold 1.00-2.00 higher on moderate demand. Slaughter heifers sold 1.00-2.00 higher on a better test and moderate demand. Slaughter cows sold 1.00-2.00 lower. Demand moderate. Not enough slaughter bulls for a market test. Number 1 and 2 Graded Holstein Bull calves weighing over 90 lbs traded mostly 10.00-20.00 higher while lighter calves, Number 3, and Utility calves traded steady to 20.00 lower. Holstein Heifer calves traded steady to weak on another light test. Ag Market News LLC under the USDA-QSA-LMAR program graded 310 head for Thursday's sale. Offerings included 182 slaughter steers, 45 slaughter heifers, 328 slaughter cows,14 slaughter bulls, 28 miscellaneous cattle, and 477 calves.
