Compared to last week: Steer calves 2.00-7.00 higher. Heifers calves very uneven, most steady, with price variation tied to inconsistent quality. Feeder steers and heifers no comparison due to a light test last week, but a higher undertone noted. Feeder cattle quality average to attractive. Slaughter cows steady to 2.00 higher. Slaughter bulls steady. Demand good for slaughter cows and very good for bred cows. Much of the trading area received some rain last week, which is always welcome during July and August. Cooler temperatures will give way to more summer-like conditions later this week.
