Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last week: All classes lightly tested. Demand extremely good for the light receipts. Slaughter cows 2.00-3.00 higher, Lean cows 12.00-13.00 higher. Slaughter bulls sold 10.00 higher. As the most recent cattle inventory showed, cow numbers have declined and then coupled with winter weather causing lower numbers at auctions this is helping to improve demand. A total of 108 cows and bulls sold with 80 percent going to packers.
