Compared to last sale: In a light comparison, feeder steers and heifers 30.00-40.00 lower. Steer calves 50.00 lower with limited supplies. Heifer calves 10.00-15.00 lower conservatively. Demand light to moderate. Quality average to attractive. After several weeks of record-breaking prices, buyers began today's sale cautious of an unstable feeder board. CME cattle futures boards closed down Friday, down the limit Monday and down again today. CME has expanded limits for both live cattle ($10.75) and feeder cattle ($13.75) for Wednesday. Cattle that had quality genetics, that had been weaned, and those with multiple rounds of shots were highly sought after. Calves and feeders that were plain, unweaned, and those with no shots saw very little action in today's market.
