Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last sale: Slaughter bulls too light to test. Slaughter type cows boners and breakers steady - 2.00 higher. Lean cows, in a light test, 3.00 lower. Demand moderate to good. Quality average. Due to extreme high temperatures, moderate humidity, and little to no wind, numbers this week very limited for cattle coming into the barn. Orders for cattle returning to feed limited this week, as this heat wave has caused heat induced stress and even death for numerous head of cattle. Temperatures in the triple digits are forecasted to continue through Saturday of this week, though the excessive heat warning will end at tonight at10:00 PM for our area.
