As filed

Compared to two weeks ago, steers less than 650 lbs sold sharply higher on the day with most weights at least 20.00 per cwt higher and some a little more than. Steers over 650 lbs sold 4.00 to 15.00 higher. Most heifers sold 10.00 to 17.00 higher throughout the sale. The bulk of the sale was yearling feeders coming out of backgrounding lots with some weaned and a handful of bawling fall calves in the mix. Demand was very good and the bidding was fast paced throughout the sale. With all time new highs on the CME feeder cattle boards today's game plan from buyers was ownership! Like a man said one day to win at this auction game you have to be the last bidder. That appeared to be the mind set at Monday's auction from a handful of order buyers, farmer/feeder and the internet buyers.
