Compared to two weeks ago steers and heifers sold sharply higher at the annual customer appreciation sale. Bidding was fast paced throughout the day. Offerings included weaned and bawling fall calves and yearlings. Some offerings coming off of grass with others out of grow yards. Bulk of the buyers were order buyers from Nebraska and a few from surrounding states. Buying was active from the internet. Feedlots continue to look for cattle to back fill empty pens as they sell market ready cattle at record levels. Some early feedlot sales took place on Thursday with live sales from 240.00 to 242.00 and dressed sales at 380.00.
