Annual Tri-State bred heifer and cow sale attracted a very large crowd of buyers to the auction. Several complete dispersals in Friday's sale as these longtime cattlemen (cattlewomen) decided to hang up their hat and retire from the cow/calf segment of their life. Several consignments of bred heifers were AI'd bred to easy calving black bulls. Most Heifers start to calve in mid-February and cows around the first of March. Demand was moderate to good throughout the day with several loads being purchased over the internet. Next sale will be on Friday, Dec 2 and will be a Special Calf Sale.
