Compared to last week steers less than 550 lbs sold sharply higher on the day, over 550 lbs sold 4.00 to 5.00 higher. Heifers sold steady to 3.00 higher on most weights. Demand was very good. Sale started off at a jack rabbit pace on small packages and ended the day in the same manner on load lots. Bidding was fast paced with a lot of internet buyers jumping in on the action. Majority of the sale was ranched raised, hay and cake wintered, long haired and most were light fleshed throughout the day. The CME cattle boards were sharply higher on the Friday encouraging cattlemen things could be better down the road.
