Compared to two week's ago thin test of the market, comparable offerings this week on steers and heifers less than 800 lbs sold 5.00 to 9.00 higher. Demand was good from start to finish. Quite a few order buyers on the seats throughout the day with some cattle going to out of state feedlots. Some wean and bawling fall calves along with several packages and load lots of yearling cattle. Some top quality heifer genetics heading back into the breeding program to calve next year. Light rain across different areas of the state giving ranchers hope that grass will green up and flourish.
