As filed

Compared to last week: Only good comparison of yearling feeder steers were those 850-900 lbs 7.00 lower. Yearling feeder heifers 800-900 lbs unevenly steady, over 900 lbs 5.00 to 7.00 lower. Steer calves 450-550 lbs 10.00 to 20.00 lower, other weights not well compared. Too few heifer calves to offer a good comparison. Good demand for this nice offering of yearlings, one consignment of 1,100 head, with many full load lots and multiple load lots. The market was active on the yearlings, but there was pressure on the market as the cash fat cattle trade remains sluggish and the futures contracts aren't adding support. Good demand for calves but the market was not as active as last week. Very muddy yard conditions in cattle feeding country, and now farmer feeders turning their attention to harvest, took a little enthusiasm out of the market to buy a bawling calf. Next reported sale will be Oct. 8, 2026.
