Compared to last week: Lower undertones prevailed for feeder steers and heifers, numbers of comparable weights too narrowly compared with last week's much larger offering to make a good, fair comparison. Demand still good yet for light steers and heifers to background, moderate to good for those bound for feedyards, but buyers adjusted their sights lower this week as the futures complex has lost considerable ground over the past week. The market is still active, but starting bids are much lower as buyers are looking to buy cattle cheaper amidst all of the uncertainty that has entered the marketplace. There were some really high quality, light fleshed steers and heifers offered in ring fulls and load lots, and multiple load lots. Next feeder cattle sale will be Mar. 19, 2026 expecting 2,500-3,000 feeder cattle.
