Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last week, boning type slaughter cows were 2.00 to 3.00 higher on a very light test and there were too few comparable breaker cows and bulls to establish an adequate market comparison. There were also too few comparable feeder steers and bulls to establish an adequate market comparison, however a lower undertone was noted; feeder heifers were unevenly steady on a fairly light test. Demand, market activity, and buyer interest were moderate. Offerings of cattle were light due to inclement weather (snow). Cattle quality was average. Baby calves ranged 20.00 to 50.00 per head.
