Compared to last Fridays sale: Yearling steers and heifers were all too lightly tested to develop any market trend. Demand for yearlings was mostly moderate to good. Yearling offerings were light. Steer calves weighing less than 600 lbs sold mostly 5.00-10.00 higher; steers 600 lbs and heavier sold steady to firm. All weights of heifer calves sold generally steady. Quality this week was average to attractive and better overall than last weeks offering. Demand for cattle suitable to run on grass was mostly good as order buyers competed with farmer feeders for offerings. Many buyers were actively bidding on feeders this sale creating a very active market. Weigh up cows sold on mostly good demand for very light offerings. Packers continue to be aggressive as they bid on cows for intimidate harvest. All cows and bulls were too lightly tested to develop an accurate market trend, however higher undertones were noticed on all slaughter and feeding cows.
