Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers were all to lightly tested to develop an accurate market trend, however lower undertones were noticed on all offerings. Quality this week was mostly plain to average and overall much lower quality than last week. Demand was mostly light to moderate on light offerings. CME positions continue to fall this week as prices yesterday and today continued last weeks sell off. Market activity this week was slow. Weigh up cows sold on mostly moderate demand for light offerings. Feeding cow demand was lighter this week which allowed packers to buy cows slightly lower. Feeding cows sold fully steady as limited buyers tried to pick high quality offerings away from packers. Slaughter cows sold 1.00-2.00 lower. Slaughter bulls sold 2.00-3.00 higher as packers and feeding buyers both pushed to buy offerings. Limited bulls sold to feeding buyers as packers showed stronger demand than feeding buyers. 2-3 year old's suitable to re-breed sold on very good demand as all offerings sold mostly 5.00-10.00 higher. Quality was mostly attractive.
