Compared to last sale 6/16/22: Feeder steers and heifers were all too lightly tested either this week or last sale to develop any market trend. Quality was mostly plain to average this week. Demand for feeder cattle was mostly mostly moderate to good. Cattle were offered in mostly small size packages with many singles on offer as well. Several ranchers were on hand for todays sale and most were bidding on cattle to turn out on grass. Market activity this week was mostly moderate to active. Weigh up cows sold on mostly moderate demand for light to moderate offerings. The last sale was held 3 weeks ago making it difficult to develop an accurate market trend. Most cows were purchased for slaughter this week, with only high quality cows were purchased to feed. Feeding cow demand was moderate to good as these offerings sold with the best demand. Slaughter bulls sold on mostly moderate demand for moderate offerings. Cow and bull quality was average to very attractive. Weigh up conditions were mixed this week, and lower than last sale. Young age cows suitable to feed or rebreed continue to sell on moderate to good demand. Quality this week was mostly average.
