Cattle futures have been on a downward trend the last week or so but the quality and condition of the cattle offered held the market up as buyers were active. Demand was good for a moderate supply of mostly long weaned and yearling type cattle which will be harder to find moving into the fall. Slaughter cows sold steady to 3.00 lower.
