Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold steady to mostly 5.00-6.00 lower as this weeks offering consisted mainly of calves carrying more flesh than last weeks run that included several yearlings coming off grass. Also, cattle futures have been in the red most of the last two weeks. Demand was good for weaned calves and the few yearlings offered, moderate for un-weaned calves. Supply was moderate to heavy with a special cow sale following the calves. Slaughter cows sold 1.00-3.00 lower.
