Compared to last week, steers traded steady and heifers sold 3.00-10.00 higher mostly due to type and kind as buyers were able to put similar cattle together. The most advance was seen on 600-750 lb yearling heifers with a few more buyers in the mix this week looking for those. Demand was very good and trade was active as buyers ignored the lower futures market on Wednesday and just bought cattle with confidence in current market conditions and a large corn crop expected nationwide. Supply was moderate with several quality consignments. Slaughter cows sold 2.00-3.00 higher.
