A large crowd was on hand for this Special Cow Sale at Unionville Livestock. Several reputation consignments were available, including a long string of western origin bred heifers and some local cow herds scaling back or making room for younger replacements. Many throughout the cattle industry were unsure if the vigor of the calf and yearling market would transfer to the replacement market but any doubts were erased quickly Saturday. A number of active bidders quickly pushed prices to some eye popping levels, without much if any fall out clear to the end of the sale. Supply light to moderate, demand very good.
