Demand was good, and at times very good, for this Annual Bred Cow and Heifer Sale at Unionville Livestock. A standing room only crowd was on hand with many in the seats intent on taking ownership of the high quality replacements available. The bulk of the offering consisted of bred heifers developed by one local producer. Most of the heifers on offer were of western origin and offered in gate cut lots after being sorted by calving date and fetal sex. Also highlighted was a complete dispersal of a local cowherd consisting of young to running age spring calvers. The reputation of all consignors in this sale was excellent which was reflected in the sale price of nearly all the stock, with prices only waning late in the day. Supply heavy.
