Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to the last sale two weeks ago, steer calves traded 5.00 to 15.00 higher, yearlings 5.00 to 7.00 higher. Very slim comparisons for heifers, mostly steady. Slaughter cows 8.00 to 15.00 higher. About a dozen straight loads of yearlings made up the bulk of the offering, ending up in a number of different hands and reaching some pretty spicy prices by the time the gavel fell. Supply moderate, demand very good.
