Compared to the light test three weeks ago, steers and heifers traded sharply higher, mostly 20.00 to 30.00 higher. Slaughter cows unevenly steady. The local cash feeder market was on fire to start the new year with several weights of cattle reaching historic prices on Tuesday. Several reputation consignments were included in the line up, mostly 500-700 lb calves, along with five loads of yearlings from the local Rockin R, always a sale highlight. Supply moderate to heavy, demand good to very good.
