Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last week, steers sold mostly 5.00 to 10.00 lower after last weeks sharp upswing. Heifers 6.00 to 12.00 higher. Slaughter cows 3.00 to 5.00 higher. Several reputation strings moved through the ring on Tuesday and while buyers were eager to fill orders, most of the steers couldn't quite reach the highs of last week. A high percentage of the offering was carrying some extra condition but for the most part, buyers weren't bothered too much. Supply heavy, demand good to very good.
